How do I fundraise online?

Register and create a personal fundraising page, then share it on your social networking pages and email – just use the links on your fundraising page!

What should my fundraising goal be?

It’ll be easier to reach than you might think! Download “How to Raise $500 in 10 days.

How will my sponsor donations be used?

All funds raised at the Walk with Hope benefit the work of Bridges of Hope to transform lives in Greene County. Direct sponsors to skbridgesofhope.org to learn more, or use the information on your pledge sheet. Be sure to let your sponsors know their donation is tax-deductible.

Download a paper pledge sheet here. Obtain your first pledge from a generous donor, often other donors will match that amount.

Who should I ask to sponsor me?

Click here for ideas – We bet you know more people than you think! Don’t forget to ask family and friends who live out of town! Using your social media can also be a powerful tool!  If you prefer paper, download a paper pledge sheet here. Obtain your first pledge from a generous donor, often other donors will match that amount.

How much does it cost to participate in the Walk?

There is no cost/fee for the Walk portion of the event. However since this one of the ways Bridges of Hope raises funds to support our mission, we encourage people to participate by raising funds or sponsoring themselves.

What does it mean that I can choose to come in-person or walk on my own?

After a very different year in 2020, we want to ensure you feel free to participate in the Walk with Hope in whatever way you feel most comfortable. We are so looking forward to joining many of you safely in-person at Bridges of Hope Campus this year! To ensure everyone’s safety and health, we will ask walkers to stay in their family/friend groups and 6 ft away from all other participants.  We will have appropriate precautions in place at the event, including hand sanitizing stations, appropriate traffic flow to encourage social distancing and more.

If you feel more comfortable walking in your own neighborhood, we encourage you to do so! Make plans to walk with your family or a small group and share your experiences with us by tagging @skbridgesofhope and #walkwithhope on social media. If you choose this route, you may drop off your fundraising materials and pick up your T-shirt at Bridges of Hope  at 1087 W 2nd St on Walk day from 9:00am to 12:00pm OR on any Tuesday morning following the Walk.

Can I bring my dog to the Walk for Life?

This event is welcome to dogs. We ask that you abide by city regulations (dogs on leash, picking up after them). Due to the size of the event, we also ask that you use your discretion and bring only friendly dogs that behave well around large groups of people.

How long is the Walk with Hope?

The route will be a 5K (just over 3 miles) long.  We will walk on sidewalks throughout the walk, into the local neighborhoods and around the YMCA track.  All walkers are welcome to walk for as long or as little as they would like!

How do I get this year’s cool Walk t-shirt?

Everyone who raises at least $150 will earn this year’s shirt! All volunteers will also receive this year’s shirt as a thank you.

How do I turn in my fundraising?

If you are attending the Walk with Hope in person at Bridges of Hope Campus, please be sure to check in at the Check-In canopies when you arrive so that your pledge sheets can be processed and your prizes can be awarded! We will have a print-out of all funds raised online as of noon on Friday, so you will not need to print out your online fundraising page. Be sure to arrive early so you can get checked in with plenty of time before the walk. Remember to bring all cash and checks you’ve collected with you.

I can’t Walk or Run that day can I still participate?

Yes! You can still raise funds and walk in your own neighborhood at any time. You can mail or drop off any pledge forms/payments at 1087 W 2nd St, Xenia OH 45385.

What if it’s raining the day of Walk?

Rain or shine we’ll be at Bridges of Hope Campus!
