What We Do at Bridges of Hope

Simon Kenton Bridges of Hope is in the early stages of creating a Christ centered, collaborative foundation for serving those in need in Xenia and Greene County.  The first stage is to upgrade Simon Kenton elementary school building so it can provide the foundation for partner ministries and service agencies to provide services from one location.  We currently house an emergency overnight shelter with limited hours in our gymnasium area with separate facilities for men and women.  Each guest is fed dinner and breakfast, provided a bed to sleep in and has access to shower facilities.

Our goal for the future is to have a full-time shelter for those without homes that feeds into other services provided throughout the building.  Social and physical services will include a job training, housing services, recovery ministry, and other life classes.   Our success will be measured in the number of our partner ministries and service organizations and the number of people we can help with the quality of programs and services we provide. These programs will be fueled by our partners, a dedicated staff, caring volunteers and generous donors like you.

Our Daily Work!

Programs & Services

We have both daytime and nighttime shelter for our guests at this time.  Our nightly shelter gives our guests a safe place to sleep, eat, and shower.  Our DayHub time helps our guests find social services they need through many partners throughout the community.

Community Resources

We have many community partners we work with to find housing and social & spiritual solutions for our guests.  We are thankful for the work they do as we seek to create a sustainable hope for our county!  If you are in need of particular help, check out our limited list of resources.
