We are looking forward to opening up the overnight shelter again beginning on November 1! Please pray that our building inspections will go well and we pass for another temporary occupancy! In the meantime we need YOUR HELP! Check out the opportunities below where you can volunteer!
How You Can Serve!
There are two main areas where we will need help this winter. We need overnight hosts/hostesses as well as people to provide dinners for the shelter guests. Check out the links below to sign up!!
Overnight Hosts & Hostesses
Overnight Hosts and Hostesses help our shelter managers and staff to check-in, greet, and manage our guests as they come in each night. They supervise as well as spend quality time with our guests so that they feel welcome and safe during their stay. Each shift has a shelter manager or person-in-charge to lead the volunteers. If you would like to be a part of our hosting team, please follow the link below to sign up. NOTE: You must attend a Host/Hostess Training Class before signing up. Links for those classes are also below.
Five nights a week we serve dinner to our guests at the shelter. We currently do not have a full kitchen (only a warming kitchen) and so we rely on people, groups, churches, and families to bring food in to serve each night. If you and your friends, group, etc would like to provide a meal, please follow the link below.
