Gardens at Simon Kenton
Engaging the community through gardening and education partnerships to feed those in need.
Here at Bridges of Hope, we have been gifted with an abundance of land to put to use. During these early years, we have partnered with David and Becci Pryor, two of our faithful volunteers, to create a garden which can be used to feed those in our community who need it most. We share our abundance with local pantries, community meal locations, as well as making it available to our meal volunteers to supplement their donations. We also have open picking on Thursday evenings for those who would like to make a donation to the shelter. Our guests can often be seen working in the garden with our team, learning skills and earning Shelter Bucks for use on sundry items in the shelter.
